Critical looking at art was always required for its evaluation. Critics notoriously disrespected the first exhibition of impressionists. Since then not much has changed. Critics usually simply bust or ignore someone little known to them who arrives with a new style. Only the strength of the artists permits them to survive criticism and establish themselves despite critical attacks. Anything could be art. Anything in milligrams, in tons, and in between. Just make a legend and a brand to make us believe.
