Show was titled The Poisonous Weeds and exhibited quite Rothcoesque idea of near monochromatic red compositions. Unlike Rothko yet, it was heavily textured red and deep burgundy colors. Lisa Ross traveled to China in order to produce the show. She was even nearly arrested by Chinese police for taking this photographs nearby military factory. She discovered an old housing complex across the factory where the workers lived during Mao Zedong times. She found Great Chairman Mao quotes put in bas-reliefs near barracks entrances.
