From prosthesis to artificial body

Human capabilities could be dramatically enhanced with machine parts, such as biological or mechanical parts. Future and current technologies permit 3D printing of human organs. 3D-printed organs designed to supersede natural body parts in everything will appear soon. Shortly, such printed organs will be ready to replace original body parts. Prostheses and robotic parts are also developing at a colossal pace. People are already connecting to electronic devices with Neuralink technology and brain implants. If someone claims that AI will surpass man in everything, our answer is not really. Humans with artificially enhanced capabilities will be nearly equal to or superior to Artificial Intelligence machines of different kinds. Ethical aspects of being superior humans are also welcome to be discussed here.

From prosthesis to artificial body

Post by Nicholaas »

This is probably obvious to nearly everyone, but I try to summarize it. The current development of the prosthesis industry already permits leg and hand replacements with full control of artificial parts by the patient's body. In the future, the material of such prostheses will be more and more bio-compatible. There will be no metal parts - just bone-like plastics and muscle-like tissues or even produced with the patient's DNA 3D printed bones and tissues. No longer than 10 years from now and in 2034 we will probably have it fully developed and even quite affordable. Of course in the future replacements for the cardiovascular system and digestive system will also become available. Of course, even the human brain could be medically repaired. We look forward to this magic of the future.
